A blog is a frequently updated online journal. It's a place to place to share your thoughts, interests and ideas. For our purposes we'll say that a blog is your own Web site that you are going to update on a regular and ongoing basis. Blog is a short form for the word weblog and the two words are used interchangeably.
Each student will be required to create their own individual blog. The topic area for student blogs will be CONVERGING DIGITAL MEDIA. Using readings, class discussions, and their own research, students will begin blogging at least twice a week on that topic. Professors will be checking the blogs regularly for the quality of postings and for how the blogs develop. Blogs are not meant to be personal diaries—they should be used as explorations of the topic of CONVERGING DIGITAL MEDIA. Focus of blogs may change over the semester, but as long as students post on professional topics and show that some thought and consideration has been put into the blog postings, there will not be any problems. Your blog postings must serve as a major resource for writing your final paper for the course. Poor blog entries will result in a poor final paper.Start your own Blog

A blog is a platform. A blog is a starting point. A blog is a means to an end and the end itself. A blog is a media outlet. A blog is a receptacle. A blog is a way of communicating. In reality, what is a blog not?
